Back in the times when wives got spanked we’d also see advertisements like this.  Now maybe those times are over, but wives still get spanked.  (I’m not the only one, right?) Of course now we consent to getting spanked.  Have you ever wondered what the wives of the past would think of those of us who now agree to this lifestyle? (And some of us even seek it out intentionally!)

For me, I really enjoy reading series spanking stories.  By that I mean, stories that are all based around a theme – like a concept, place or maybe family.  For example, I’ve talked before about Nattie’s Sanders Center series at Discipline and Desire.  Each story stands alone and each has a different set of central characters, but the characters from previous stories make appearances throughout the series.  It really allows for a lot of character development, and the author is able to build on the theme of the series.  In this case, the theme is the concept of a center that helps women (and later, couples) through the use of spanking as discipline.  I love the whole idea of revisiting characters from previous stories.  It’s like catching up with old friends.

The Monroe County series also at Discipline and Desire is another example of a spanking story series, but these stories are actually written by different authors. It’s called a collaborated series.  In the Monroe County series, the theme is a small town where it’s common and expected for husbands to discipline their wives.  The site has 2 other collaborated series. The Agency is based in the year 2015 when domestic discipline has made a comeback, and the stories in the Personal Trainer series are all about Tony and his unique methods for motivating his clients.

As for writing spanking stories, I tend to only have time to write short stories.  Occasionally, I will write a sequel to a story based on the same characters.  I’d love to try to write a longer spanking story, something with many chapters that could also later become a series.  I’m hoping to find time to do this very soon, and of course, you’ll get to read the story right here on Spanking Storybook.  Now if I could just come up with an intriguing theme.

There’s a place for all kinds of spanking stories.  Short stories are wonderful for quick bedtime reads, and longer novels let you really get into an involved plot and complex characters.  So what do you think?  How do you prefer your spanking stories?  Or is any spanking story a good spanking story?

Fiction has always been a way to live vicariously through story characters.  However, in spanking stories, it isn’t just about thoughts and emotions, it’s also a very physical activity and need.  Let’s just get this out front, spankings hurt.  Reading about spankings doesn’t (well, unless you get caught reading them when you shouldn’t be).  So just how much can reading spanking stories be satisfying or can it create more frustration causing you to want what you don’t have?

According to the women in the group I was reading, they consider reading spanking stories to be very satisfying despite not having a real spanking relationship available.  It gives them fuel for their fantasies, for one thing.  It allows them to escape just for a little while into the fictional lives of the characters.  It’s the same as women reading romance novels.  Romance novels are full of ideal romantic relationships.  It doesn’t mean a woman has to feel lacking if her relationship with a man doesn’t live up to that standard.  It’s a fun escape, an entertaining pastime – just like reading spanking stories.

So being the good little spanko that I am, I checked out SpankingTube.  OK, OUCH! There are some serious spankings on there.  I did see one featured on the front page of a pretty blonde young lady getting an OTK hand spanking.  I thought it was a good video because she acted like it hurt (I hate those ones where the girl doesn’t make a sound..come on, it hurts!).  I also liked that the guy asked her if she was ready for some harder ones and she cried “noooo” in a pouting voice (I’ve done that) and he chuckled at her.  Oh, and yes she got those harder ones.  Near the end I liked that he rubbed her back a few times and caressed her hair (a little affection goes a long way – do you really just want to see someone smacking away on a girl’s bottom?).  So, I decided my husband might like to see this video.

In the evening with kids asleep, I came up behind my husband at his computer.  He’s a Facebook Addict.  I asked him if he wanted to see a spanking video.  What do you know? He did (my husbands spanks, you know that right?)  So I show him this one of the blonde girl otk.  He watched it and smiled a few times, and mumbled something about it not being fair to show him that when kids are asleep in the house.  I laughed and hugged him and went on my way (probably to go write a little spanking story).

Well, later that night as I’m ready to go to bed, I come up behind him again at his computer (he just loves when I come up behind him when he has his headphones on – really he does).  He’s still looking at SpankingTube.  He just turns to me and says, “Wow,” and then turns off the computer.  Once cuddled in bed, he whispers in my ear, “I learned something tonight.”  I was trying to go to sleep. I think I said something really intelligent like “Oh?”  He says, “Yeah, I definitely don’t spank you hard enough.”

I couldn’t resist this topic.  Yes, my husband is a spanker.  He’s definitely warmed up to it over the years.  Still, he doesn’t read spanking stories.  But you know I do!  So is reading spanking stories good for my marriage?  Absolutely, positively!  Why?  Ahem, you don’t think I’m more…uhh…affectionate… towards him after reading a hot spanking story?  A well-written story definitely pushes all my romantic buttons, and my husband certainly collects the benefits of that.  Many times he’ll lean over my monitor and see what I’m reading.  If it’s a story, I get a big kiss and a “take your time, Honey.”  Am I not a lucky wife?

So for all of you wives and husbands who might be thinking that spanking stories are too naughty for married folks.  I’m here to tell you – try it you’ll like it!
